VerseBloom publishes Bible verse guides and reflection tools designed to help readers begin prayer, journaling, and closer reading of Scripture. This policy explains how that content is prepared, what role automated tools may play, and what readers should expect from us.
Our Editorial Purpose
Our goal is to make relevant Bible passages easier to discover without presenting a short verse or generated reflection as a substitute for reading Scripture in context. Topic pages are written as starting points. Readers are encouraged to open the surrounding chapter, consider the original audience and setting, and seek wise pastoral or professional help when a situation requires it.
VerseBloom is not a church, denomination, counseling service, medical provider, or source of divine revelation. We do not claim that a randomly generated or AI-assisted result is a personal message from God.
How We Select Passages
For a topic guide, passages are selected according to several criteria:
- direct relevance to the stated topic or life situation;
- enough variety to avoid building the page around one isolated phrase;
- a clear connection between the quoted words and their surrounding passage;
- usefulness for prayer, reflection, or a responsible next step;
- care around verses that are frequently removed from their historical or literary context.
We prefer to explain why a passage may be helpful instead of promising that it guarantees a particular outcome. When a verse has a commonly misunderstood context, the page should name that context rather than repeating a popular interpretation uncritically.
Scripture Text and Translation
Unless a page states otherwise, English Scripture quotations in VerseBloom topic guides use the World English Bible (WEB), a public-domain translation. Each guide identifies its translation and supplies book, chapter, and verse references so readers can verify the quotation and continue into the complete passage.
Translation wording can differ. Readers preparing teaching, publication, or ministry material should compare the passage in the translation used by their community and review any applicable quotation or licensing requirements.
Use of AI-Assisted Drafting
VerseBloom may use AI tools to help organize a first draft, identify possible passages, summarize themes, or improve clarity. AI output is not treated as spiritual authority and can be incomplete or wrong. A generated explanation should always remain open to correction through the biblical text, its context, and responsible human judgment.
We do not present AI-generated language as a prophecy, divine instruction, medical diagnosis, or replacement for pastoral care. Pages involving anxiety, grief, crisis, health, relationships, or other sensitive situations include additional boundaries where appropriate.
Context and Application Standards
Our topic guides aim to separate three things clearly:
- The Scripture quotation — the biblical text and reference.
- Context — what the surrounding passage contributes to its meaning.
- Reflection or application — a possible way a reader might respond today.
Reflection paragraphs should not silently rewrite a verse, invent a promise, or imply that every reader will receive the same outcome. Practical suggestions are invitations, not commands from God.
Health, Safety, and Crisis Boundaries
Devotional content is not medical, psychological, legal, or emergency advice. Scripture and prayer may be meaningful sources of support, but they do not replace qualified care. Readers should not stop prescribed treatment or ignore urgent symptoms because of something published on VerseBloom.
If someone may be in immediate danger, is considering self-harm, or cannot remain safe, they should contact local emergency or crisis services and a trusted person who can stay with them. VerseBloom does not provide crisis monitoring.
Bylines and Review Claims
Pages may be published under the VerseBloom name when they represent the site's editorial work rather than the work of a separately identified contributor. We do not claim review by a pastor, theologian, physician, therapist, or other professional unless that person is explicitly named and the review actually occurred.
The “last editorial update” date identifies a material content revision. It does not mean that every external link, translation, or factual detail has been independently certified by a third party.
Corrections and Updates
We welcome corrections involving:
- inaccurate Bible quotations or references;
- missing or misleading context;
- unclear separation between Scripture and commentary;
- unsafe or overconfident health-related language;
- broken links or outdated product information.
When a meaningful correction is made, the page's editorial update date may be changed. Minor formatting or spelling fixes may not receive a new date.
